Dream of darkness

I once saw a man
walking in the distance in a dream.
He turned slightly and saw me
but carried on walking.

The place was peaceful and familiar to me.
I saw distant blinking lights in darkness.

A cheerful man was singing on the radio.
And I heard someone clearly shout my name.

I heard a woman's voice say:
"pull the sheet over your face and stare death in the face".
Woke up screaming about giant spiders
and floating plasma balls.
