Few of the top fund managers are able to beat the indices, and it is not clear if they are able to do it on a long-term basis. How is the common person supposed to allocate their 401(k) to ensure a secure retirement? That being said, it helps to understand that to analyse a complex system, adding additional variables to the analysis may not improve the analysis or its predictive power.
